EVGA Classified SR-2 fits two Xeon CPUs for 24 threads, exemplifies overkill

Remember EVGA’s seven-GPU motherboard monstrosity, the W555? That experimental beast of a board just got declassified — and given immediate launch orders. Under the new “Classified SR-2″ callsign, the board’s layout has hardly changed since CES (though the heatsinks certainly got a makeover) but the big news here is that each of its two CPU sockets will support those fancy new six-core Xeon processors. As you’re well aware, two times six is twelve — and Read More...

iWork.com improves public URLs, adds iPad compatibility

Apple’s iWork.com document sharing and collaboration service still carries the beta tag that it has worn since it was introduced with iWork ‘09 last January. (Perhaps it’s just another hobby, like Apple TV?) Still, with the iPad ready to launch in a few weeks, Apple has added a few improvements to iWork.com.

One improvement is an update to the way documents can be shared publicly. A simple toggle turns public sharing on or off as needed, Read More...

Spotify’s U.S. Launch Date Remains Uncertain

Many were hopeful that Spotify CEO Daniel Ek might reveal details about the U.S. launch of the popular European music-streaming service at today’s SXSW Interactive keynote.

However, those of us in the States eager for a crack at the on-demand competitor to Rhapsody, Napster and MOG will just have to keep waiting. Ek dodged questions about the U.S. launch date during the interview with Wired’s Eliot Van Buskirk.

He did reveal some new subscriber statistics, with Read More...

Look for it next Wednesday, March 24th, for just a penny under $200 on a Read More...

During a press event at the Game Developers Conference, Sony finally showed its motion controller to the gaming press. Welcome to the world of the PlayStation Move.
