Imagine Cup guru: Ars interviews Joe Wilson

Joe Wilson, Microsoft Senior Director of Academic Initiatives for Developer and Platform Evangelism, may have as long a title as most of the Microsoft execs, but he doesn’t look like it. He wears his hair long and makes a point not to be seen in a suit and a tie. Wilson is the man that makes all the finalist announcements at Imagine Cup, Microsoft’s annual student tech competition. He’s the guy with the mic that cracks jokes while the audience waits in anticipation for what he’s about to say next.
